Beauty and beast movie critical movements 

So many things that were amazing about this movie, the actors, the music, the clothes, the setting, just *chefs kiss*. Were to even begin, first the actors, amazing every last one of them, they were all cast perfectly and I love how all the characters were given detail and context about their lives, like with Belle and Maurice, we learned how they came to the village and what happened to Belle’s mother, and the Beast, hearing about the death of his own mother and how his father twisted him up to be the person he was really made me more sympathetic towards him and made us all understand him more. 

Even Gaston, learning that he was in the war and all the items in the castle and how “days in the sun” gave us a small insight into their lives and even the enchantress, who we saw through out the movie helping in her own quiet way and even though the last petal had fallen she still brought the Beast back because she saw that he found someone who loved him not for his looks but for the person on the inside. 

All the characters were given more depth and I love the fact the movie wasn’t exactly like the cartoon, but was it’s own unique version with the balance of comedy, sadness and joy. Not to mention how incredible the music is, not just the sung songs but the background music as well that goes with the scenes. So much detail and thought was put into this and you can clearly see that, my thanks and gratitude to all the actors, directors, designers, composers and everyone that was part of this film. I remember the magic of seeing this movie for the first time and I’ll never forget it.

While I see a lot of bad reviews and how much the world “didn’t need this remake”, I got myself watching every now and then this movie and enjoying it fully. The claims that the original was much better, I loved as a child, but watching it again, made me sure this is the right update.

I get so pissed off that people assume this remake is for the 90’s children but this is most importantly for the new generation which will not enjoy the 91 feature as it’s dated.

I remember as a child when I watched Snow White. It was fun, but outdated, and nowadays I couldn’t bring myself to watch it. the 91 feature I had the same feeling, in few years, it will be history.

The side plots like her in Paris might sound unimportant but I get that it’s a great way to put some historical feelings to the children who will grow up with it.

2. So while it might not be a masterpiece because of some odd performances, it is the only remake of the classics that I actually feel like watching over and over. And the gay Lefou is so much better than the weird bozo that was in the original, the final touch of a odd romance when he is dancing, was a warm touch and I’m glad it is there.

3.I saw that Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson’s Beauty and the Beast video was better than the dangerous Harry Potter videos.

The prince hired me to help him marry a beautiful and loveliest girl that could break his spell and get to be his wife when he got transformed into the Beast. I wanted to let Belle get to be the prince’s wife during forever. I hired Belle to break the spell when I told her about the prince’s spell.
